Because we handle your most precious memories, privacy is not a checkbox. It is our core commitment.

This policy explains how **The Tap Co.** collects, protects, and stores the personalized content (photos, voice notes, videos, and text messages) loaded onto our NFC-enabled keepsakes.

1. Information We Collect

To program your handcrafted keepsake and host your private memory, we collect:

  • Personalization Media: The photographs (JPG/PNG), voice memo recordings (WebM/MP3), and video messages (MP4/MOV) you upload.
  • Custom Text: The written messages and recipient names you provide during customization.
  • Transactional Data: Customer contact details (name, email, phone) and shipping addresses necessary to fulfill your order.

2. Storage & Longevity Policy

Under our Stored Forever commitment:

  • Media files are stored on secure cloud database servers hosted in encrypted regions.
  • We back up files daily to ensure memories are preserved against server failures.
  • Your keepsake's private link remains online indefinitely. We charge no subscription fees to keep your memories active.

3. Data Access & Sharing

We strictly limit who has access to your content:

  • No Ads or Tracking: We never sell, lease, or distribute your media or information to third-party data collection agencies or advertisers.
  • Private Links: Keepsake pages (`/m/[unique-code]`) are unlisted and are not indexable by search engine bots (configured with `noindex` robots headers). The page is accessible only to people who scan the physical tag or have the direct link.
  • Workshop Access: Our fabrication team can access custom media only to program the NFC chip and verify quality assurance. They are bound by strict NDA agreements.

4. Deletion & Modification

You retain absolute ownership of your memories. At any point, the purchaser or recipient can request complete deletion of the hosted page and its media from our databases.

To request deletion or update your keepsake's message content, simply email us at support@thetapco.com with your order number. Deletion requests are processed within 24 hours.

5. Terms of Service Summary

By purchasing, you warrant that you own or have the rights to use the uploaded media. We reserve the right to decline fabrication of keepsakes containing explicitly offensive, illegal, or abusive content. Defective NFC keepsakes are eligible for lifetime replacement.
